Welcome to the Arizona Animal Control Association (AZACA), where we are dedicated to advancing the Animal Control profession and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the public and their animals. Our mission is to bring agencies across Arizona together to share knowledge, provide critical training, and address the unique challenges and risks associated with animal control enforcement.

At AZACA, we strive to:

Enhance Officer Safety: Prioritizing the safety of animal control officers in the face of aggressive and dangerous behaviors from both animals and humans.
Promote Best Practices: Developing and initiating training programs to standardize duties and improve efficiency for deputy enforcement agents and their employers.
Legislative Advocacy: Reviewing and recommending necessary changes to laws and ordinances affecting rabies control and animal management.
Community Education: Educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, and adoption initiatives.
Medical Collaboration: Providing essential information to the medical community regarding rabies prophylaxis and prevention.
